I’ve always been a visual person—it’s how I learn, work, and create. Photography is the tool I use to translate what’s in my head into something others can actually see. It’s been a constant in my life since I was a child, but it wasn't until adulthood that I truly claimed it as my creative voice.
My photography is my 'free space,' separate from the rules and pressures of professional life, on my own terms. I value a sense of reality, so I keep my processing minimal; I want you to see the moment exactly as I saw it.
Whether I’m documenting the abandoned homesteads of South Park, Colorado, capturing abstract clouds, or nautical themes on Martha’s Vineyard, I’m looking for the story within the scene—nuance, details, subtleties that others may miss. Now I’m organizing those observations into bodies of work that invite you to slow down and take a second look.
I live in Denver with my wife (Becky), my daughter (Caroline) and our two Golden Retrievers (Winston and Linus).
